We’re looking for self-motivated, retail driven individuals to join our Customer Service and Sales Team in casual and full time positions.

You’ll be working with a crew skilled in all things retail and your management team will always encourage, help and train you to be the best you can. We are the experts in the huge range of City & Country clothing and accessories we offer. Our customers rely on us to know the ins and outs of the extensive range we carry and to seek further knowledge when we don’t. We go above and beyond because we’re customer driven. Every day we show up and do everything we can to make sure that our store offers the product, service and environment our customers are looking for. Positions Available

  1. Full Time Sales Assistant (Tuesday – Saturday. Must be available over Christmas)

  2. Casual Sales Assistant – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (night or day), Saturday. (Full and half day shifts with flexibility to increase highly advantageous. Must be available over Christmas)

  3. Casual Sales Assistant – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (night or day), Saturday. (Full and half day shifts with flexibility to increase highly advantageous. Must be available over Christmas)

  4. Casual Sales Assistant – Monday, Thursday (night or day), Saturday (Full and half day shifts with flexibility to increase highly advantageous. Must be available over Christmas)

The Role

As a retail assistant your typical skills/duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Serving customers as priority above all other duties

  • General day to day customer service jobs such as answering phones, assisting with enquiries, following up on orders etc.

  • Opening and closing of store, till set up and end of day procedures

  • Learning product knowledge until competent in all areas of stock

  • Entering, receiving, marking and putting away stock

  • Window and store displays

  • Merchandising

  • General cleaning of store interior and exterior and keeping store neat and tidy

  • Stocktaking

  • Cooperation with staff and working harmoniously as part of the team

  • Initiative to do jobs as they arise

  • Learn Point of Sale (POS) software and become familiar with Donohues website

  • Be conscious of security of stock and cash registers, using diligence to discourage theft

  • Workplace health and safety

  • To always act with the best interests of the business in mind

  • Perform in accordance with Donohues policies, manuals, procedures and fulfil kpi’s and key performance areas

  • Participate in periodic performance appraisals and training

In addition to the customer service and sales related qualifications, experience and skills listed below, it is essential that the right applicant have:

  • A bright, happy and above all enthusiastic approach and attitude towards the role and what it presents.

  • Ability to switch into work mode at the beginning of your shift and bring 100% of yourself and your positive attitude to each day.

  • Experience in our brands isn’t necessary but a strong desire to learn about them and what they represent is.

  • Preparedness to take on and embrace the varying changes and challenges that the day to day of retail presents. This includes flexibility in work hours and the ability to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and great attention to detail

  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly pick up POS software

  • Organized and able to work from a jobs list or use initiative to productively fill time until further instruction. Must be able to work unsupervised and be trusted to do so.

  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently at all times.

Experience

  • Experience in customer service and sales roles advantageous but not absolutely necessary. A can do attitude and a willingness to commit to the way we do things in here will be just as valuable.
